Demand for Turnstiles, Security, and Time-Keeping Abilities Leads to Expansion for Modular Security Systems

Provided to you by http://www.securedbymac.com/

Turnstiles have been used for many purposes for a number of years. Many installations for access control security using turnstiles are built into permanent structures and are often expensive and not feasible because they are built and then torn down. What separates Modular Security Systems Inc. from the competition is the portability of the Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal design.

By building these units out of new, standard, and high cube shipping containers the turnstile system built by Modular Security Systems serves as a portable access control barrier. The mobility of the units has driven demand significantly over the past year. Based on customer demand Modular Security Systems Inc. has recently expanded its manufacturing facility for its turnstile based security system, the MAC Portal.

Modular Security Systems Introduces the V-Series

http://www.securedbymac.com/

The evolution of products are more often dictated by demand and customer needs. As a shining example of the just that thought. Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) is introducing a new product line called the V-Series. The "V" in V-Series stands for vestibule which is a passage, hall, or antechamber between the outer door and the interior parts of a house or building. These vestibule in these units make the MAC V-Series perfect for northern climates.

These units are made out of a combination of a Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal with full height turnstiles and integrated with customer specified security software integration. The vestibule in the V-Series provides employees, workers, and visitors a space to get out of the weather as they make their way through the MAC Portal.

Successful suppliers of Perimeter Security for US Defense Department implement Mobile Full Height Turnstiles Container Modification.

With thousands of American and international troops stationed amidst the turmoil of the Middle East security and safety for our soldiers are high priority. A causal factor to the loss of military personnel is often contributed to a lack of onsite security products at military installations. Through the use of improvised explosive devises and disguises terrorists have worked to destabilize the area and have in turn created a need for innovative high security systems, commercial security, and perimeter security. Modular Security Systems, Inc. has answered the call in several of these locations with the implementation of its mobile turnstile container modifications; a secure turnstile Modular Access Control portal, the MAC has found a home in locations ranging from Kuwait, Qatar, and Iraq in the Middle East.

Modular Security Systems, Inc has launched its website in hopes to reach a broader base of international customers who have the need for security products, commercial security, and perimeter security. The MAC is a custom turnstile container modification, integrated with the latest in access control, security software products to inhibit the entrance of unwanted individuals into restricted areas. The MAC has become a staple of perimeter security for the United States Army at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait where Major Powell with the U.S. Army endorsed the use of the MAC for “it’s seamless setup and installation” “We dropped the MAC in a fence line and hooked it up to power and that was that”, he continued.

MSSI -Modular Security Systems, Inc. Mobile, Electronic Brass Shack Replaces Old Style Brass Shacks or “Stick Alleys” Previously used by Industry

Modular Security Systems, Inc. (MSSI) has recently enjoyed many calls and much internet traffic from consumers in the industrial world regarding its latest product, a prefabricated building guardhouse with turnstiles incorporated into the design. During the past 5 or 6 decades the prefabricated building has been used as guard booths and guardhouses at plant and construction sites across the United States. The mobile or modular building for guard booths and guard houses is no new product and is commonly used for construction site security at construction and plant sites across the US and world.

Though the guardhouse is no new invention the prefabricated building guard house including access control turnstiles is a new invention and is becoming a staple on construction sites throughout the world. The U. S. Patent and Trade Mark Office is recognizing this prefabricated guard house with turnstiles as a new invention by awarding MSSI a recent Notice of Allowance for a patent for this unique invention of a prefabricated building with turnstiles to serve as a guard booth.

Rob Slagel, Co-President of Modular Security Systems, Inc. (MSSI) has this to say about the new invention; “Our new invention of a prefabricated building, including turnstiles that will serve as a guard house or guard booth will revolutionize the construction industry. This portable, prefabricated guardhouse is quickly replacing the out dated “brass shacks” guard house that has been previously used on construction sites for access control around the world.”

MSSI-MODULAR SECURITY SYSTEMS INC. ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF THE TENTATIVELY NAMED “V”-SERIES MAC PORTAL

Sponsored by http://www.securedbymac.com/
Perimeter security is evolving and to meet the demands of the changing needs of its customers, Modular Security Systems (MSSI) has introduced a new line of Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal. The tentatively called “V” Series in its current state is a combination of three MAC modules joined together to create vestibules for both the secure and non-secure sides of a standard MAC Portal. “A great deal of our customers in colder climates or coastal regions began to ask about putting a waiting area or lobby in the MAC so that their employees and visitors could get out of the weather while waiting to pass through the turnstiles”, stated David Slagel, Co-Owner of Modular Security Systems. “Although we conservatively estimate that 9 people a minute can process through a single turnstile or 3000 people an hour through six turnstiles we were happy to oblige”, added Steve Shelton, Sales and Project Manager for Modular Security Systems.

Based on the needs of its customers Modular Security Systems continues to grow its already impressive product line. Since the introduction of the first 4 turnstile MAC Portal in 2004 Modular Security Systems has developed a standard line of Modular Access Control Portals ranging from 1 to 10 turnstile units. Then in 2006 the Advanced Screening Complex (ASC) was developed expressly for the New York Port Authority as a site security solution for the Freedom Tower construction site at ground zero in New York City. The New “V” Series MAC Portals are similar to an ASC in that they are multi-MAC module units that have been technologically toned down. “Our ASC is like the Cadillac of perimeter security. It has all the bells and whistles: metal detectors, explosive detection devices, x-rays and ballistic guard offices, but not all of our customers need such a robust unit”, stated David Slagel. “More and more customers want more of a Camry than a Cadillac when it comes to meeting their perimeter security needs. So we’ve created the “V” series by adjoining additional MAC Modules to create vestibules on either side of one of our standard MAC Portals.”

The New “V” Series Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal is sure to attract a wide range of customers in both cold and hot weather climates. By adding vestibules to either side of a standard MAC Portal MSSI has created a climate-controlled, perimeter security solution that can be installed as both a permanent or temporary solution. “As the needs of our customers’ change it is important for us, as a growing company, to be able to adapt to their needs and in turn, modify and enhance our product line to suit them”, added Steve Shelton. The “V” Series MAC Portal is just the next evolution in the Modular Security Systems product line and it surely won’t be the last. As the needs of our customers change so will our products.”

MSSI- Patents New Mobile Turnstile Security the Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal

Modular Security Systems, Inc., MSSI announces that it has received a formal Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on its intellectual property application regarding mobile turnstiles in a conex container. Full height turnstiles are used inside of the branded MAC Security Portal. The patent is not turnstile type specific, meaning it does not require MSSI to incorporate only full height turnstiles into its mobile turnstile unit but rather any type of a barrier device including full height turnstiles but also including half height turnstiles and other types of barrier devices. Modular Security Systems, Inc., MSSI, has incorporated both full height turnstiles as well has half height turnstiles into its MAC Security portal to date and management at MSSI has been well pleased with the performance of all makes of barrier devices that it has installed thus far in its manufacturing of MAC Security portal mobile turnstile units.

Rob Slagel, Co-President of MSSI says: "MSSI has been extremely pleased with the performance of full height turnstiles into our mobile turnstile units, modular turnstile units, otherwise called MAC Security Portal. We have used both full height and half height turnstiles in the manufacturing on these mobile turnstile units and both types seem to work well though the full height turnstiles seem to allow for added security."

Modular Security Systems, Inc. (MSSI) official position on this patent allowance is as follows; the patent application covers our Containerized Access Control Systems, mobile turnstile unit. We want to ensure our customers that the patent allowances WILL NOT impact our product pricing, product quality or customer service. We remain committed to being the low cost solution for providing mobile turnstiles and modular turnstiles in both full height and half height your sites and we are dedicated to providing you with exceptional customer service.

MSSI would like to use its new patent allowance to enable it to team up with others interested in providing mobile turnstile units and our modular turnstile units in a cross marketing effort of the MAC Security Portal.
